Match the country and currency
Google Play gift cards are redeemable and usable in the country and currency in which they were purchased. Your Play account country must also match. Do not choose a different-country card just because its currency looks familiar; country restrictions also apply while travelling.
Redeem through a browser
Check which account will receive the credit before confirming.
- Open play.google.com/redeem.
- Sign in to the correct Google Account and enter the code.
- Choose Redeem, review the account details and confirm.
If you receive an error
Check the code, exact error and country of the account that will use the credit. Instead of repeated attempts or trying to bypass country restrictions, contact support with your order number. Do not share the full code publicly.
