Card type and country matter
Apple Gift Card, App Store & iTunes Gift Card and Apple Store Gift Card have different uses. An Apple Store Gift Card cannot be redeemed in the App Store. The card must match the country or region of your Apple Account; a card sold elsewhere may not work in your store.
Redeem on an iPhone or iPad
Make sure the credit is going to the correct Apple Account.
- Open the App Store and tap your profile.
- Select Redeem Gift Card or Code.
- Enter the code manually and complete redemption.
If the code is not accepted
Record the exact error. Wrong-country, invalid-code and already-redeemed messages indicate different issues. Contact support with your order number; do not send passwords or verification codes. Adding credit does not establish eligibility for every subscription, which may have additional payment requirements.
